Privacy

Doms records only what is needed to run dominoes nights, keep the results accurate and help returning players find their history.

What Doms keeps

A night can include player names, attendance, pairings, scores, standings and an audit trail of important changes. If you create an account, Clerk securely handles your email address, sign-in method and session. Doms keeps your account separate from a player record until an organiser approves the link.

Who can see it

Nights and lifetime statistics are private or unlisted by default. People with a current night link can see the information needed to join, score or follow that night. Approved organisers can manage the full night and correct its records. An approved player account can return to social nights where that player was recorded as attending. Club membership alone does not open other social nights. Approved club members can follow their league fixtures and results. Doms does not sell player data. Anyone with the current unlisted league viewing link can see fixtures, results, player names on result sheets and the league table. The link grants no scoring access or access to account details. Organisers can revoke it.

Your choices

You can join and score with the night link without creating an account. Ask the organiser if a name or score needs correcting. For an account, player-link or deletion request, email admin@domsnight.uk. Match records may need to retain a corrected name or audit entry so the night remains accurate for everyone who played.

Keeping and recovering records

Match results are kept as club history. Contact the organiser to correct or request removal of personal information. Corrections retain earlier closing copies so results can be reconciled; removal requests are reviewed against that need rather than silently rewriting results. Encrypted recovery backups are retained for 30 days and are accessible only for authorised recovery. A correction or deletion may remain in a protected backup until it expires.

Services Doms uses

Doms uses Clerk for accounts and sign-in, Neon for the private database, Vercel to run the application and private GitHub storage for encrypted recovery backups. These services process information only to provide Doms and protect its operation.
